What is Sustainable Finance?
Sustainable Finance (SF) is the concept of evaluating and mitigating the environmental and social impacts of a business when making investment decisions, issuing loans, or taking any financial action. It also involves supporting projects and programs that promote low greenhouse gas emissions and contribute to the development of a green economy.
The Mongolian Bankers Association, with the support of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the FMO (the Dutch Entrepreneurial Development Bank), established the Mongolian Sustainable Finance Association and developed the Sustainable Finance (SF) Principles to be followed within Mongolia’s banking sector.
