Bogd Bank successfully signed a financing agreement with the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC)

Bogd Bank has successfully concluded a long-term financing agreement of USD 15 million with the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) on December 23, 2022. The financing is targeted at Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME), focusing on women entrepreneurs and green financing. This marks the third financing that Bogd bank has secured this year from major international financial institutions.

The financing from DFC will not only support the development of SME sector in Mongolia it will also contributing to several Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, including (5) gender equality, (8) decent work and economic growth, (10) reduced inequalities and (13) climate action.

DFC is America’s development finance institution that was first established in 2019, that partners with the private sector to finance solutions to most critical challenges facing the developing world today. As of 2022, DFC has committed a more than USD 7.4 billion in financing to sectors such as energy, healthcare, critical infrastructure, and technology. DFC also provides financing for small businesses and women entrepreneurs in order to create jobs in emerging markets.
